Can You Still Buy Xbox 360
I never owned an Xbox console. With the backward compatibility of Xbox One and Series X/S, is it still worth buying an Xbox 360? Or the next generation consoles can run all the must play and exclusive titles? I have PS1 through PS4.

As a final resort, a Reddit user actually created their own script to bypass this issue a couple of years ago, but it's quite old and has since been archived. We have no idea whether this still works as of February 2022, so needless to say it's something that's only worth trying at your own risk, and we can't vouch for it ourselves.
This is still the old bad MS at play. It 'magically' works in their own Edge browser but doesn't often in Chrome despite Edge now being a Chromium based browser. They would have had to go specifically out of their way to make it work on one not the other.
But my initial point still stands that if no specific code is written for either browsers they should perform the same. One of other party would have to go out of their way to make it perform differently.
@Banjo- Yes that was my initial assumption. I still remember many of their apps not working, or working worst on other browsers and their stock 'solution' was to use IE and later (non -chromium) Edge. They've all been at it over the years in the browser wars, I assumed it was more of the same.
@GlasgowGuy I don't have an Xbox 360 but I've read that some users have to do something to clear the Xbox 360 download queue because it can come to a standstill. That might be your problem. It's a queue related to your account so that would explain why it happens on both Xbox 360 consoles.
While the game is still playable on PC, the Xbox servers shut down in 2017 alongside the PS2 servers. It is worrisome to think all those hours spent inside Final Fantasy 11 will just vanish one day. Anybody who wants to jump into it today should be aware that it is definitely an MMO of its day. For a more streamlined experience, Final Fantasy 14 is the better choice.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is nowhere in sight. Why would it be when Rockstar and publisher Take-Two are still raking in the cash with Grand Theft Auto Online? The multiplayer component was not always the beloved experience it is today, however. It launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 two weeks after Grand Theft Auto 5 in an arguably broken state.
Anybody who bought one can still play it if they have the disc, but there is no legal way to get one's hands on a new copy.Too Human recently showed up again on the Xbox Live Marketplace, so maybe X-Men: Destiny can re-appear in the near future. As for the developer, it has declared bankruptcy in 2014. At least fans will always remember its classics like Eternal Darkness and Blood Omen:Legacy of Kain.
* This title may not be available in all regions and/or may not be available for purchase digitally in the Xbox Store. Previous owners of the disc/digital versions of these titles should still be able to play them on an Xbox One or Xbox Series XS console.
Starting Tuesday, February 7th, dozens of games will be unable to purchase on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. The list varies by country and includes popular titles like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Left 4 Dead, and Limbo. In the United States, there are 46 games total. To see the full list for the US and other countries, the Xbox Support page has every list available here. While these games will no longer be purchasable, they'll still be playable and downloadable as long as you buy them before the deadline. Here's a list of the games leaving the marketplace in the US:
While these games will no longer be accessible on the 360, Microsoft has clarified in a statement to Gematsu that they'll still be available on the Xbox One and Series X/S stores. Additionally, many of these games have received ports, remasters, or other releases on modern consoles, so losing access to a 360 version isn't necessarily the end of the world. Still, if you wanted to grab some of these games digitally on your 360, you've got until Februrary 7.
Looking at just this generation hardware, assuming you're still in the market for a new console, should you buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360? I have both, and both are great machines, but in the end the PS3 is the better buy.
I'm not a big Uncharted fan, but if you like Indiana Jones-style cinematic games, you can't do much better than the Naughty Dog's adventure franchise. God of War may be stretching itself a bit thin at this point, but the action-Greek-myth hack-and-slash title is still a big draw.
6. Last, but not least, is the PS Vita, Sony's latest and greatest hand-held gaming device. The world may be moving toward mobile, but the PS Vita is a really impressive gaming machine that can connect directly to your PS3. If you want hand-held games, Microsoft still has some serious catching up to do. If you go with a Vita, you'll be better off pairing it with a PS3 than an Xbox 360.
Final thought: Better still, build yourself a gaming PC. Sure, not every title will make it to PC, but you'll have a much wider array of indie titles to choose from, as well as mods and customizations that make consoles pale in comparison. Still better: buy all three because, you know, you're made out of money, right?
I am having the exact same issue, I have the season pass but cannot download Tyranny of Washington DLC. It says "Store is Empty" as well.Hi Steve,Thanks for your message, hopefully this will give the issue some exposure. Do you remember when you downloaded the season pass, was it recently? No matter what I do clear the Xbox 360 cache, remove updates, it still won't show the DLC and keeps showing the original message. Its really frustrating because apparently it worked before and now it doesn't.
Lost somewhere in time, with the next generation of players having no knowledge about its existence. Counter-Strike:GO - the arcade version of CS:GO remains untouched and can still be played across various console devices like Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PS4.
The Xbox Live server will continue to be used by the Xbox 360, and users can still play online through the host. Microsoft will also continue to sell the existing Xbox 360. The latest Xbox 360 operating system update is released on Aug 21, 2019. This update fixes some minor bugs and improves some items.
Today, some people still like to use Xbox 360 because some games may be compatible only with Xbox 360. Although Xbox One has introduced the downward compatibility plan and you can plan some Xbox 360 and Xbox classic games on Xbox One, there still may be some games not participating in this plan.
Sometimes, you may receive a message like "This game requires an Xbox hard drive" or "You need an Xbox 360 Hard drive to play (a game name)". If you still want to download this game without buying an official Xbox 360 hard drive, you can use a thumb drive or USB drive to download it.
Best answer: There is a small yet passionate Kinect homebrew scene, but if you're a consumer, the answer is simply no. No way, no how. Kinect is a dead accessory, with canceled support by Microsoft. A second-hand unit will still function for the small library of available games on an original Xbox One console, and provide modest voice command support. However, you're far better off just grabbing an Amazon Echo for the latter feature. Use voice with your Xbox: Amazon Echo Dot (From $50 at Amazon).\n\n

Microsoft blundered when it launched the Kinect V2, bundling it with the Xbox One and driving up the total price. To bring that price tag back down, the Kinect was sacrificed. The stigma it generated probably led to decreased interest, and decreased usage led to developer abandonment. There's no reason to expect any new Kinect games to hit the platform any time soon, and the available ones aren't exactly show-stopping "must play" games. They can provide some fleeting entertainment, but I still don't think that makes recommending a Kinect worthwhile.
Xbox All Access is a monthly installment payment option for a new Xbox Series S or X. Customers can sign up for the plan to pay $35 a month for an Xbox Series X or $25 a month for an Xbox Series S. Both plans include 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. There are no upfront fees and 0% APR. Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Store, Target and Walmart are all participants in the program, however, the trick is to sign up when consoles are available. If you're still on the hunt for an Xbox Series X or S, will have the latest restock updates for you.
The first Xbox 360 design came in several variations. The Xbox 360 Core console came without certain features such as a hard drive and a wireless controller whereas the Xbox 360 Premium and the Xbox 360 Elite both included these features. In 2007, Microsoft replaced the Xbox 360 Core with the Xbox 360 Arcade console, which included a memory card, a wireless controller, and a suite of arcade games. In 2010, Microsoft released the Xbox 360 S, a slimmer version with streamlined appearance and a redesigned motherboard that ameliorated the design issues of the system. It also has a proprietary port for the Microsoft Kinect sensor. In 2013, Microsoft released the Xbox 360 E, a further refinement of the 360 console design. The Xbox 360 E is HDMI-only. With all these models available at different price points in new and used conditions, it's easy to keep your budget and still bring home a winning gift before the New Year. 041b061a72
