About Jiu Jitsu

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on ground fighting. BJJ is based on a system of skills that allow a smaller, weaker person to effectively defend against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using technique and leverage. Jiu Jitsu teaches you to take your opponent down, take full control of the fight on the ground, and then apply joint-locks and choke holds to submit and subdue the opponent.

Jiu Jitsu for Fitness

Whether you’re training a few times a week or everyday BJJ is guaranteed to up your strength and endurance. There’s no better full body workout than sparring (or rolling, as we call it). These 5-10 minute rounds are straight to the heart of fitness, improving both your cardio and core strength.  Whether you’re already crushing hard workouts or just thinking about starting sports for the first time, Jiu Jitsu is the challenge you need to shake up your routine and see real improvements.
